Huge Nintendo Stuff Review

The stuff Nintendo does now want you to see, they actually asked me to remove this page once, eventhough they don't make a profit from the NES anymore they still believe that NES pirate stuff hurts their name and new inventions. The illegal videogame market is HUGE, probably a great deal bigger than the original videogame market ever was for the NES. 

The eastern world is basicly nothing but pirate stuff. I visited Turkey once, a great country I definately will be visiting again, they had nothing but pirate NES/Famicom stuff going for as little as US$3 per cart, a price Nintendo never would be able to compete with. Russia has been a mekka for Famicom piracy too, Nintendo never released the NES there themselves, but a pirate company released a Famicom clone they called Dendy which became one of the best selling videogame systems ever in Russia. 

Unfortunately the Dendy is on retreat, because of the PlayStation and its cheap pirate CDs, so its getting harder and harder to find any new Famicom stuff. I cannot help you buy or find any of the stuff listed on this page. I suggest that you search on ebay for Famicom pirate stuff. In other words please dont e-mail me about buying any of this illegal crap, cause I really cant help you. How I got it? Well you know someone who knows someone who them knows someone who might have a few carts or know where to get a few.

FAMICOM COPIERS

In asia a lot of Famicom copiers exited, mostly based on the Famicom Disk System disk size because it was widely spread and available back them, and unfortunately not now. 

The main two companies behind these copiers were Front Far East, who still sells one of their SNES copiers as well as a few N64/DC/PSX memory paks, and Bung Enterprises who is well known for their Gameboy copier called Xchanger. Bung has a long history of making copiers and has made atleast 8-10 copiers capable of copying Famicom carts. PIRATE MAKERS BROCHURES

I was able to get a few brochures from some of the companies making clones and pirate carts, I got a price list aswell, but have decided not put it online.

HONG KONG ORIGINALS SCREENSHOTS

These games are all Hong Kong originals, as I choose to call them. A Hong Kong original means that the game wasnt released by Nintendo or any of their 3rd party developers, atleast not for the NES in this version. Games like Mortal Kombat 3, Street Fighter 2, Boogerman, Toy Story, Pocahontas are all Hong Kong originals, games reproduced from other systems such as the SNES.

The pirate companies have made a lot of game hacks aswell, turned a game star wars galaxy of heroes hack into another by changing the graphics.
